Last week I was in Germany on holiday... but one can't resist the temptation to escape and do a little work to relax during the holiday.  I.e. I decided that I should do a few events with Opticians.  I told Die Diekers I would only turn up if they made a big party and got me lots of customers to see.

They were celebrating their 10 year aniversary and so.... a party was born.

We completed 56 Bespoke frames in a VERY long day and had loads of fun doing it.  Some people like to jump off bridges or get pulled by a speed boat to get their holiday kicks. I like to see how many people I can Bespoke in one day (the record still stands at 86 in Texas last year!)

The window below was just emailed to me by Michael Jawet,  one of his customers just put this together and I thought I'd share it with you.  A great idea for a window display..... hmmm, maybe I should look at offering shop manikins with our next window campaign.

Jason Bradbury is a presenter on a TV show where they test gadgets and such like.  Most boys (and men) will know this show in Britain.  So it was a bit of a surprise to me when I was watching the new series last night that the presenter appeared to be wearing a TD Bespoke frame.

I was transfixed during the show.  Turns out the design came from an Optician in Richmond called Hitesh (David Clulow) and I have to say he did a fantastic job...... well done Hitesh!

Today I commissioned the new TD cabinet to production.  They will cost Euro 1500 on launch but they come with 10 Bespoke Vouchers which are to be used to create DESIGNER frames.  So effectively... almost free!

If you have a Bespoke cabinet already, then this will slot neatly underneath.  If you don't, then there are two shelves to put your Bespoke kits on. They will hold 30 frames.

They will be on show at Silmo and VEW and are ready to order now if you are feeling brave!

I LOVE this frame.  I was asked to make a Bespoke frame for Muse front man, Matthew Bellamy to match his chrome guitar. I'll post some more photos and some style shots of the frame in a few weeks.

Above is an amazing frame from our collaboration with Ann-Sofie Back.  The frame is inspired by Super Heroes.  It was limited to 50 pcs and well....... they are all gone! Sorry. The image is from a Japanese magazine and I believe that it is responsible for most the sales.

Design School today.  Behind me a around 10 Opticians busy designing their own range.  They were among the first guests at Tom's bar. Here you can see me returning to my former glory as a barman and serving drinks for the evening.  Whilst I had several "complaints" about the English beer I was serving, we emptied the fridge... so it can't have been that bad.

We then left the bar and headed to a typical English pub.  What did they all eat? Well, Fish and Chips of course!

I am about to leave on holiday but I couldn't go without showing off my latest glory!  I needed something BIG to replace Angelina Jolie and I can't think of anything better than the new Studio (except perhaps The Queen in TD specs... or Barak Obama... or.. ok, so I can think of lots of better things) However, the new TD Studio in London opened yesterday.

Everything you see here happened in three weeks.  I.e. we decided to move, we moved, we renovated.  Brilliant!

Nothing is more sure to brighten up a spectacle designers day... no year! than somone deciding to use their Sunglasses.  There are photos all over the internet of Angelina Jolie wearing this Sunglass.  It is a limited edition frame.  The number is 13435 and you can order it either as a DESIGNER frame or as a Limited Edition frame.  I'm so chuffed you can't believe it!

Here are a few snaps I've picked up from various gossip blogs.

This link is the best for a great series of pics.
